Review of the First Five Editions of the PSF
On the afternoons of September 16 and 17, 2020, a meeting was held at the Técnico Congress Center to review the first five editions of the Programme Shaping the Future. The purpose of this meeting was to present the results of the surveys (see below) conducted with the assistant professors and researchers, and the mentors involved in the programme, to critically assess the activities carried out over the last five years, and to reflect together on the future evolution of the programme.
Over the course of two afternoons, the participating assistant professors and researchers, and the mentors, were able to reflect together and critically on the various aspects of the programme, discuss its impact on the professional development of teachers, present testimonials, make suggestions, and outline new directions for the future.
The debate was led by the President of the Scientific Council, Prof. Luís Oliveira e Silva, the Vice-President for Administrative Modernization, Prof. Isabel Ribeiro, the President of the Pedagogical Council, Prof. Raquel Aires Barros, and the Coordinator of the Academic Development Unit, Dr. Isabel Gonçalves. The debate was closed by the President of IST, Prof. Rogério Colaço.
This year, unlike the last five years, the 6th edition of the Workshop Shaping the Future was not organized due to the fact that there were practically no new assistant professors and researchers joining Técnico.
