This training workshop usually takes place outside IST in an immersion regime that lasts three days, in which all those newly integrated into IST are trained in the areas of team leadership, research projects, teaching skills and management of research careers. This training workshop promotes their professional affirmation in their areas of expertise, but also improves their pedagogical skills, so that they can actively contribute to the promotion of excellence in teaching for IST students.
The Head of Scientific and Pedagogical Councils of the School are present in this workshop and some members of IST’s scientific community are invited to share their successful experiences in the areas of scientific and academic leadership, inspiring the new IST Junior Faculty and Researchers in their academic career.
The participants positively evaluated the past editions of this fundamental training workshop, and the results served as a basis for the evolution of the Training Program to its current format.
